About Villa Rosa
Villa Rosa is a two-bedroom (sleeping 4 – 6), detached villa, standing in its own walled, private gardens and surrounded by mature trees. Completely refurbished and fully equipped, with the added benefit of air-conditioning throughout, Villa Rosa is the perfect place to relax at any time of the year. Parking is available in a private garage which gives direct access to the pool area and to the villa. Alternative parking is available on quiet roads to the front and rear of Villa Rosa.
Whether you want to relax by the private, solar-heated swimming pool, explore the Port of Brindisi, the historic towns of Lecce, Ostuni, Otranto and many others, visit “Trulli Country” or simply enjoy La Dolce Vita the way the Italians do, Villa Rosa is the place for you. Situated in the heart of the Salento but still close enough to explore the Itria Valley, Bari and other parts of Puglia, this is the perfect place in the sun to combine relaxing by the pool exploring the Salento and Puglia!
The private swimming pool (10m x 5m), solar heated, is surrounded by sun-drenched patios, with sun loungers, lilos and other pool toys. At the end of the courtyard there are walled flower beds abundant with bougainvillaea and other flowering shrubs, and a swinging chair perfect for a siesta. The lemon tree will provide freshly picked lemons for your G and T or freshly made lemonade for the children! The local farmers’ market, within easy walking distance, provides a cornucopia of fresh produce and local delicacies. Should you tire of the sunshine, wander to the other side of the house where a number of trees (including tangerine, pear and pine trees!) provide a shady retreat. The patio here provides a perfectly cool and shady setting to relax and enjoy lunch. The gardens have been extensively planted with flowering shrubs.
An extensive library of English books and DVDs, together with jigsaw puzzles and board games are provided for your entertainment.
On your arrival at Villa Rosa, you will find a Welcome Basket, including specially sourced local products and produce and home-made limoncello, to get you started on your first evening in Casalabate. A welcome meal freshly prepared by a local chef will also be waiting for you.

Once you have settled in your thoughts will probably turn to exploring the neighbourhood. Villa Rosa is located in a seaside village in the Salento. Casalabate is a small, friendly holiday town, most of the houses are holiday homes belonging to local Italians from the towns of Squinzano and Trepuzzi. In the heat of the summer, they close up their winter homes and take up residence in Casalabate. There is a farmers market on Sundays throughout the year and a supermarket and bar that is open all year. During the main season many other food shops, cafes, bars and restaurants are open, You will find lots of information in the villa about the surrounding area.
