Puglia Seaside Restaurant and Ristorante Vista Mare – both sum up the location of Porto Adriano. We stumbled upon it by chance after a morning running errands in Lecce. Hot and tired we decided to take the coast road home heading out of Lecce towards the east coast directly towards San Cataldo. Porto Adriano stood out on our right as we reached the coastline and it looked very tempting. We had to give it a try.
The friendly waiter welcomed us and the service was excellent. We opted to sit outside, under the canopy where we could enjoy the sea breeze, on what was a very hot June day. The fresh fish display looked amazing but on this occasion, we both opted for prawn cocktails and then the Hamburger Scottona as it is not something we see often. Plenty of prawns, great seafood sauce and not swamped with lettuce. The hamburger was perfectly cooked for us, still pink in the middle but not bloody, very tasty. We will be going back to try the fish dishes. Good wine list and not too expensive.
