“What is there to do in Puglia?” It’s a question potential visitors and newcomers to Puglia often ask. Puglia is a place for a lazy summer holiday, for baking in the sun, swimming in the sea or pool, making sandcastles, barbecues, dining alfresco. The list of holiday fun opportunities is endless, Puglia is all that you would expect from a summer sunshine holiday and it has so much more to offer. There is a wealth of Puglia activities, excursions, events, day trips and festivals. We can help you get the best on offer.
So you have explored the coastlines and beaches of Puglia, explored the many wonderful historic centres of our Puglia cities and towns and soaked up the laid back lifestyle in the sleepy Puglia villages. There is so much to see and do. From magical castles to wonderland grottos, the trulli of Alberobello, nature and aqua parks, the zoo safari and more. For the holiday visitor who is really more interested in exploring this fascinating region, consider taking a holiday in Spring or Autumn when it is not too hot to get out and about and discover Puglia. Take a holiday in Puglia and discover Puglia, the Salento and a different way of life.
As well as excursions to a wide variety of different Puglia places there is any number of activities to choose from. Whether it’s an Artisan market tour or a Wine Tasting Tours, or everything in between. There are many opportunities to explore and experience the real Puglia.
We have some wonderful contacts who can arrange just about anything. If you are a guest in one of our two holiday villas and want to do something that is not listed … just ask and we will see what we can do! If it’s not there, ask anyway. One of our contacts will almost certainly be able to organise it.
Of course, we had to try out many of these activities and excursions, you can read about how we spent the week when the family visited here. We sampled many of the wonderful things to do and see in Puglia. We’ve also been on the Wine Tours more than once or twice, always learning something new, tasting different wines and having fun.
If you are a visitor to Puglia, as well as relaxing by the pool and on the beaches, do take time out to explore our adopted homeland, but beware, you may well fall in love with Puglia and the Salento. If you have recently moved to Puglia, take your time, explore and take part slowly … Italian time.
